DILG Spokesperson and Undersecretary for Plans, Public Affairs and Communications Jonathan E. Malaya visits selected vaccination facilities in Bicol Region on November 4 & 5, 2021.
Usec. Malaya, in response to the challenges encountered by the LGUs during the rollout of the vaccination program, discussed with the provincial and municipal health officers solutions on how to ramp up and intensify the vaccination efforts of the Local Government Units to achieve the target of 70% herd immunity by the end of the year.
The undersecretary’s visit is in view of the Department’s mandate to strictly monitor the national vaccination program being implemented by LGUs.
