DILG Region 5 Officers visit Region 3 to facilitate the comprehensive validation of Nueva Ecija potential passers for 2023 Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) on September 18-22, 2023. ![]()
Headed by ARD Jhoaden G. Lucero CESO V, the Region 5 Validators for Nueva Ecija are composed of ADC LGOO VI Amaline R. Colina, PD Julius Rodel L. Cal-Ortiz, PD Arnel Renato L. Madrideo, CH LGOO VII Shielame B. Villa, PFP LGOO V Theza Rose N. Ramos, Alternate RFP LGOO IV Ma. Victoria G. Rañeses, and PFP LGOO III Kristine Camposano.![]()
Included in the LGUs validated for Nueva Ecija are PG Nueva Ecija, General Tinio, Talavera, San Leonardo, Cabiao, San Antonio, San Jose City, Llanera, Rizal, Bongabon, Cuyapo, Gabaldon, and Nampicuan.![]()
The cross-posting activity aims to validate the performance of LGUs in various governance areas under RA 11292 or the SGLG Act of 2019, “An Act Establishing and Institutionalizing the Seal of Good Local Governance for Local Government Units, and Allocating for this Purpose the Seal of Good Local Governance Fund.” ![]()
In addition to these LGUs in the province of Nueva Ecija, DILG R5 National Validators were also deployed in the province of Aurora also in Region 3 and the provinces of Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon in Region 4A.![]()
The Region 5 SGLG Teams kicked off the 2023 National Validation activities with a courtesy call to Atty. Anthony C. Nuyda, DILG R3 Regional Director.

EARLIER | DILG 5’s Regional Management Team and employees come together for the blessing of the recently rehabilitated Regional Office Hostel at the Regional Office compound in Legazpi City. ![]()
The event was led by DILG 5’s Regional Director (RD) Atty. Arnaldo E. Escober Jr., CESO V, together with the Division Chiefs, employees, and staff. The ceremony was also honored by the presence of ASEC Ester Aldana CESO II, DILG R12's RD Josephine Leysa, SLGP Program Manager Glenn Miranda, Planning Service's Ara Mae Samia, and BLGD's Heidi Pilapil.![]()
This facility features three Executive rooms on the second floor, while the first floor accommodates two separate dormitories—one for males and one for females—each equipped with restrooms and a capacity of up to 20 individuals per room. The total project cost of the rehabilitation is Php6,999,497.93.

President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. (PBBM) led the simultaneous national launching of the Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair at the Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges (CSPC) at Nabua, Camarines Sur today, September 23, 2023. The initiative aims to bring various government services, facilities, and programs closer to Filipinos. He was joined by key cabinet members, including SILG Benjamin Abalos Jr. ![]()
PBBM, during his speech, said that the Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair is one of the government’s steps to give Filipinos a renewed sense of hope. He also led the turnover of farm equipment and sacks of rice to beneficiaries at the venue. ![]()
The Camarines Sur leg of the launch was participated by 29 government agencies that hosted more than 75 programs, which aim to benefit more than 120,000 residents. The KADIWA ng Pangulo was also one of the fair's highlights, featuring the province’s locally produced agricultural products.![]()
DILG 5's Regional Director (RD) Atty. Arnaldo E. Escober Jr., warmly welcomed the delegation, expressing both gratitude and a strong sense of solidarity on behalf of the Department.

PROVINCIAL UPDATES | DILG Sorsogon conducted its Third Provincial Executive Conference (PREXCON) in the conference room of its Provincial Office located at City Hall Complex, Cabid-an, Sorsogon City. ![]()
Presided by its Program Manager, LGOO VI Rafael L. De La Rama, Jr., the Provincial Operations Team provided the accomplishments and updates for the monthly, quarterly, and semestral reports of the different programs, projects, and activities (PPAs) under the Local Government Monitoring and Evaluation Section (LGMES), Local Government Capacity Development Section (LGCDS), Finance and Administrative Section (FAS), and Project Development and Monitoring Unit (PDMU).![]()
Present in the PREXCON were the City and Municipal Local Government Operations Officers, and Provincial and Cluster Operations staff members.

PROVINCIAL UPDATES | In compliance with DILG MC No. 2023-133 or the Barangay at Kalinisan Day (BarKaDa), which is a nationwide community-based clean-up drive program of the Department, and in observance of the Annual International Coastal Clean-Up Day (ICC Day), all barangays in the municipality including the municipal employees and staff conducted a simultaneous clean-up in the coastal areas, waterways, creeks, parks, streets/roads and vacant lots within their premises.![]()
All barangays are expected to conduct a weekly clean-up drive, preferably every Saturday, to encourage public participation, as per the memorandum circular.
