The DILG 5 Assessment Team led by Assistant Regional Director Jhoaden G. Lucero, CESO V, leads the CY 2023 Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) onsite assessment of the Provincial Government of Camarines Norte at the Sangguniang Panlalawigan Hall June 5, 2023.

The team thoroughly reviews the PLGU’s overall performance in each indicator of the ten assessment criteria and objectively provides feedback based on initial findings and patterned after the 2022 Governance Audit Report (GAR) of PLGU.

Before the release of the final and approved guidelines and indicators, this assessment is used as a proactive measure in assessing the level of functionalities of the LGUs and addressing their areas for improvement.

The SGLG promotes integrity and excellence in local governance, driving reforms, local autonomy, and sustainable community development through the recognition of outstanding local governments.

The assessment team comprises Camarines Sur Provincial Director Julius Rodel L. Cal-Ortiz, CESE, Camarines Norte Provincial Director Melody E. Relucio, CESO V, Local Government Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant Division Chief Amaline R. Colina, Cluster Head Shielame B. Villa, CSO Representative Mr. Alvin Chio of SPACFI, and DILG Camarines Sur and Camarines Norte Provincial Office Staff.

This event marks the first Provincial Local Government Unit to undergo assessment for this calendar year.
