Philippine National Police Deputy Chief for Administration PLTGEN Rhodel O Sermonia graces the Bida ang Kasimbayanan sa PRO5 as Guest of Honor at Camp BGen Simeon A Ola, Legazpi City on January 20, 2023.

PLTGEN Sermonia emphasized the need for everyone’s support, through the whole-of-nation approach, in seizing decisive victory in ending the war on illegal drugs.

He also asked for the people’s participation in the multi-sectoral campaign dubbed “Buhay Ingatan, Droga’y Ayawan” BIDA KA program, a recently launched program through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).

He lauded the Bicolanos’ spirit of volunteerism in the fight against illegal drugs in the Bicol Region.

PLTGEN Sermonia led the awarding of the Barangay Drug Clearing Program Certificates to Drug-Cleared Municipalities in the Bicol Region and was witnessed by PNP PRO5 Regional Director PBGEN Rudolph D. Dimas, PMGEN Ronaldo E Olay, DILG Regional Director Atty. Arnaldo E. Escober, Jr., CESO V, and LGU Malinao Mayor Hon. Sheryl P. Capus-Bilo. After which, livelihood packages that include seedlings, sprayers, fertilizers, and cash assistance were distributed to selected Person Who Used Drugs (PWUD) graduates.

The event was also participated by Heads and representatives of National Government Agencies (NGAs), Local Chief Executives (LCEs), Barangay Officials, and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) from across the Bicol Region.
