As one of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s flagship programs, The Pambansang Pabahay Para sa Pilipino Housing (4PH) Program aims to build six (6) million housing units and generate around 1.7 million jobs yearly from 2023 to 2028.
Together with President Marcos Jr. for the occasion were Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) Secretary Jose Rizalino “Jerry” Acuzar, Department of National Defense (DND) Secretary Carlito Galvez Jr., Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Secretary Alfredo Pascual, Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Rex Gatchalian, and Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Secretary Bienvenido E. Laguesma.
The provincial government’s housing project infrastructure is set to have 12,960 units in a six-hectare land along Panganiban Drive, with five mid to high-rise residential and four commercial buildings catering to 6,000 homeless people.
Also present during the ceremony are Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Regional Director Atty. Arnaldo E. Escober Jr., DILG Camarines Sur Provincial Director Julius Rodel L. Cal-Ortiz, CESE, Camarines Sur Governor Vincenzo Renato Luigi R. Villafuerte, Second District Representative Luis Raymond R. Villafuerte, Fifth District Representative Miguel Luis R. Villafuerte, various National Government Agencies (NGAs) and other local officials.
This groundbreaking ceremony marks PBBM’s first visit to Camarines Sur and the chartered city of Naga City after taking oath as the 17th President of the Philippines.
