Atty. Arnaldo “Isko” E. Escober Jr., CESO V is formally and officially welcomed as DILG 5 new Regional Director in the Turn-Over Ceremonies on October 4, 2022, at The Pepperland Hotel, Legazpi City.

RD Escober assumes office by virtue of Department Order No. 2022-676 issued on September 6, 2022. He was formerly in service as Assistant Regional Director of DILG 5, his home region, prior to his assignment as Director of DILG Region 8.

“I accept the challenge of becoming your Regional Director. I am also happy that I am home in Region 5,” RD Escober expressed as he accepts the symbolic key of responsibility from outgoing Regional Director Atty. Anthony C. Nuyda, CESO III.

In his acceptance speech, RD Escober also recognized the mentoring experience he had from RD Nuyda during the former’s stint as ARD in DILG 5, and recounted his leadership experience as Regional Director of DILG Region 8 which equipped him in taking bigger challenges.

Further, RD Escober hoped for everyone’s cooperation in ‘co-managing’ the Regional Office towards a more effective public service delivery.

RD Nuyda, who will now head to DILG Region III as its new Director, encouraged the DILG 5 workforce to continue cultivating the vision that the region has. “Continue to strive for excellence to raise the bar of public service and reach new heights to uplift the lives of our people. I call on you to join and support your new Regional Director, RD Isko, in the continuous journey as you deliver all our shared duties and responsibilities,” he added.

The Ceremonial Turn-Over Activity was witnessed by Undersecretary for Local Government Marlo L. Iringan, CESO III; OPDS Director Rene V. Valera; DILG 8 Top Management; and DILG 5 Top Management, Provincial Directors, Division Chiefs, Section Chiefs, Unit Heads, C/MLGOOs, and Regional Office Personnel.
