The second Joint National Peace and Order Council (NPOC) and Regional Peace and Order Council (RPOC) Meeting for 2023 was held on November 23, 2023, at the PNP Multi-Purpose Hall, Camp Crame, Quezon City. This was attended by all NPOC Members, RPOC Chairpersons, Vice Chairpersons, RPOC Secretariat Heads and DILG officials.

The NPOC, under Executive Order (EO) No. 773, Series of 2009, is tasked with coordinating and overseeing the government’s integrated peace and order efforts and affirmative actions and providing an avenue for interdisciplinary discussion and deliberation on key issues affecting peace and order.

DILG 5’s Regional Director (RD) Atty. Arnaldo E. Escober Jr., CESO V, the RPOC 5 Secretariat Head, was present for the said meeting. He was also joined by RPOC 5 Vice Chairpersons, Major General (MGEN) Adonis R Bajao, Commander of the 9th Infantry Division and Police Brigadier General (PBGEN) Westrimundo D Obinque, Regional Director (RD) of the Police Regional Office 5 (PRO5). Their attendance highlights RPOC 5’s dedication and shared commitment to upholding the directives of EO No. 773 toward addressing the peace and order concerns in the Region.
