DILG R5 holds the Inauguration and Blessing of the Completed SGLG-IF Two-Storey Multi-Purpose Building at Tinago Elementary School, Brgy. Tinago, Ligao City on February 7, 2024.

The ceremony was graced by City Mayor Hon. Fernando V. Gonzalez, DILG R5 Regional Director (RD) Arnaldo E. Escober Jr., CESO V, Assistant Regional Director (ARD) Jhoaden G. Lucero, CESO V, and DILG Albay Provincial Director (PD) Ray B. Caceres, CESO V. The inauguration was also witnessed by officials from LGU Ligao and beneficiaries from elementary school and barangay.

Ligao City, as one of the Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) Passers, is the recipient of the SGLG Incentive Fund (SGLG-IF) worth ₱7 million for FY 2022 in the Bicol Region. The SGLG-IF is awarded to LGUs that passed the SGLG assessment criteria. This financial support is intended for local priority initiatives or improvements to advance transparency and accountability in all local government transactions, strengthen LGUs’ disaster preparedness, ensure high-quality healthcare services, and foster economic development, among others.
