LGOO VIII Julius Rodel Cal-Ortiz, CESO V, representing the Department of the Interior and Local Government Region 5 (DILG R5) , along with Municipal Local Government Operations Officer (MLGOO) Shirley J. Del Valle, attended the inauguration of the Youth Development Center of Juban on February 7, 2025, in Juban, Sorsogon. This project was funded under the Seal of Good Local Governance-Incentive Fund (SGLG-IF) for Fiscal Year 2023.

The Youth Development Center, located in North Poblacion, Juban, is a one-story reinforced concrete building measuring 5m x 10m (50 sqm), designed for future expansion of up to two stories. Compliant with BP 344 (Accessibility Law), the center ensures inclusivity for persons with disabilities. Additionally, it features a 1,000-liter stainless water tank for rainwater collection, promoting environmental sustainability. With an allocated subsidy of ₱1.8 million, the project underscores the municipality’s commitment to fostering youth development, leadership training, and community engagement​.

Also present at the event were Municipal Planning and Development Coordinator (MPDC) Domingo Grefaldero, Municipal Administrator Archimedes Griarte, who represented the Mayor of Juban Hon. Gloria L. Alindogan, and Local Youth Development Officer Jo Marie Gualvez. Their attendance highlighted the local government’s strong support for initiatives that empower the youth and strengthen community development.
