Former rebels (FRs) in Sorsogon Province will soon have a temporary shelter towards their eventual integration to the society.

DILG R5 RD Atty. Anthony C. Nuyda, along with Governor Francis Escudero, and Major General Fernando Trinidad of the Philippine Army led the Groundbreaking Ceremony and Turnover of Cheque for the P5 Million halfway house in Barangay Cogon, Juban, Sorsogon on November 21, 2019.

The halfway house will serve as a temporary shelter for former rebels while their documents as beneficiaries of the government’s Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program or E-CLIP are being processed. This will also be a training facility for the FRs.
