In an effort to fast track and facilitate the reporting and monitoring process of DILG programs and projects, a new management tool was introduced during the Hands-On Training on Online Reporting and Monitoring using Google Drive on December 13, 2013 at the DILG Regional Office 5 Training Hall.

Google application offers free file storage, file sharing and collaborative editing on-line through the Google Drive. Multiple people can update data simultaneously.  The use of google drive application enable the end-users to easily access, upload, organize and retrieve documents and other relevant reports.   The on-line reporting and monitoring is an effective tool that will support the participants in accomplishing their tasks efficiently.

The participants during the training include the Program Managers, PPA Champions and designated IT Officers from the 6 provinces and the Regional Focal Persons and Unit Heads who actively participated in the hands-on activity with a lecture-discussion covering the following topics: a.) Overview of Google Drive; b.) Creation of Google Account; c.) Creation of Folders; d.) Uploading of Google Files; e.) Creation of Google Files; and f.) Managing Google Files.
