Three infrastructure projects were inaugurated in the municipality of Baras, Catanduanes yesterday, June 20, 2024. This significant event marked the completion of infrastructure projects and the official handover of authority to the LGU with their commitment to managing and maintaining these local infrastructures to ensure its continuous benefit to the communities.
The inaugurated projects, include the Construction of Multi-Purpose Building in Brgy. Tilod amounting to P5,000,000.00 with P2,000,000.00 LGU counterpart allocation. This facility is expected to serve as a pivotal hub for education, healthcare, and community events.
Meanwhile, the Construction of Farm-to-Market Road (FMR) in Brgy. Macutal to Kalangasan and the Improvement of FMR in Brgy Paniquihan to Abihao received an allocation of P10,000,000.00 each respectively. These infrastructure projects serve as a critical link between local agricultural producers and the market to facilitate economic growth, social development, and overall community progress.
All projects were funded under the FY 2023 Local Government Support Fund- Financial Assistance to Local Government Units (LGSF-FALGU).
Present during the Inauguration and Turn-Over Ceremony were Asec. Ester P. Aldana, CESO V, DILG 5 Regional Director Atty. Arnaldo E. Escober Jr., CESO V, Asst. Regional Director Jhoaden G. Lucero, CAO Rico E. Gaurino, DILG Catanduanes Provincial Director Uldarico S. Razal Jr., CESO V, PDMU Team Leader Engr. IV Armando T. Tanael Jr., and Baras Hon. Mayor Jose Paolo P. Teves together with the community recipients of the projects.
