A two-day Orientation Seminar on crafting the Magna Carta of the Poor (MCP) – Local Poverty Reduction Action Plan (LPRAP) was held on November 28-29, 2023 at the Avenue Plaza Hotel in Naga City, Camarines Sur. Organized by the National Anti-Poverty Commission’s Local Affairs Coordinating and Monitoring Service (NAPC-LACMS), this event aimed to empower stakeholders in the Region and enhance their understanding and implementation of poverty reduction strategies.

LGOO VII Angela Lourdes V. Astor of DILG Camarines Sur was invited as a resource person. She discussed the Rationalized Planning System and the integration of LPRAP in the Comprehensive Development Plan (CDP). She emphasized the importance of sectoral representation in crafting strategies to combat poverty and address local needs.

The activity was attended by C/MSWDOs, C/MPDCs, C/MAOs, and C/MGOOs from the 37 Cities and Municipalities of Camarines Sur.

DILG 5’s Regional Focal Person (RFP) on Local Planning LGOOV V Ivy S. Ramirez and Regional Information Officer (RIO) LGOO II Frances Ogilvie were also present in the activity. This underscores the Department’s commitment and dedication towards fostering a unified effort to advance the objectives of the MCP-LPRAP.
