To strengthen the communication of local infrastructure achievements, the Project Development and Management Unit (PDMU) of DILG Regional Office 5, led by PDMU Chief LGOO VIII Julius Rodel Cal-Ortiz and PEO III Lovic B. Gongona, participated in the “From Data to Dialogue: Communicating Local Infrastructure Success” Batch 2 training held from May 6 to 9, 2025, at Quest Hotel Tagaytay, Tagaytay City, Cavite.
The event was facilitated by PRO III Daryl A. Jaramilla of the Public Affairs and Communication Services (PACS) with the training management team of Office of the Project Development Services (OPDS) and in coordination with DILG REGION IV-A CALABARZON.
Participants in the activity includes PDMU Chiefs, Project Evaluation Officers and/or their representatives with the aim of communicating local infrastructure success.
The sessions were facilitated by Ms. Edmalynne Remillano chief of creatives & production; and Antonio Tiemsin, Jr., chief strategist of FILI Studios Inc., who shared their expertise in the field of documentation and how to capture the Most Significant Change of our local communities. Throughout the training, the participants engaged in interactive lectures and peer consultations.
A Community/Project Immersion for the conduct of interviews and data gathering to target barangays and beneficiaries. One of the major highlights of the said activity was the output presentation, where participants showcased their outputs (Feature Article, Photos with caption, AVP) and received critiquing feedback from peers and experts.
The training program culminated with the awarding of certificates and a closing message from Director Alfonso A. Maralli, Jr., CESO IV. Director Maralli also expressed his gratitude to the resource persons for ensuring the smooth conduct of the training.
Through this activity, DILG Region 5 extends its unwavering commitment to continuously improving the competence of its personnel, empowering them to effectively support in promoting development and capture the Most Significant Change in local communities across the Bicol Region.
