The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Region 5 led the 2nd Quarter Inter-Agency Committee on Anti-Illegal Drugs (ICAD) Advocacy Cluster Meeting on June 28, 2024, at the DILG Regional Office Training Hall, Legazpi City.

The meeting was presided by DILG 5 Assistant Regional Director Jhoaden G. Lucero, CESO V, and attended by representatives from the Philippine National Police, 9th Infantry Spear Division – Philippine Army, Department of Social Welfare and Development, National Police Commission, Department of Labor and Employment, Philippine Statistics Authority, Philippine Information Agency, and Department of Health.

Aimed at uniting the anti-illegal drug advocacy efforts of various government agencies— member agencies presented their updates, accomplishments, and plans of activities for the campaign against illegal drugs. Discussions also focused on issues and concerns for the upcoming quarter.

The ICAD Advocacy Cluster ensures that all member agencies implement, adhere to, and promote the policies, laws, and directives of the government’s anti-illegal drug campaign in an integrated and synchronized manner.
