Chaired by COMELEC Commissioner Aimee P. Ferolino, the session serves as an avenue to provide a holistic assessment of the election landscape within the province, ensuring meticulous preparations for the upcoming 2023 Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) on October 30, 2023.

DILG Region 5 Regional Director Atty. Arnaldo E. Escober Jr., CESO V guarantees that DILG 5 is ever committed to supporting this endeavor through DILG personnel, such as C/MLGOOs, for the provision of technical assistance to the Local Government Units (LGUs) down to the Barangay level during the entire election period.

He also emphasized that they will continue to create advocacy campaigns and Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials aligned with the COMELEC’s guidelines through social media engagements.

DILG Region 5 is committed to ensuring safer, transparent, and honest Barangay Elections throughout the Bicol Region.
