DILG R5, through the Local Government Capacity Division (LGCDD), conducted a Roll-out Training of LGUS on Reengineering of Systems and Procedures, Repeal of Regulatory Policies and Regulatory Reform for LGU Information Systems (RR4LGUiS) on July 18-19, 2023 at The Pepperland Hotel.
The participants for the 2-day activity include the members of CART/RRT, specifically: Administrator, SB/SP Chair on Good Governance, Treasurer, Business Permits and Licensing Officer (BPLO), Provincial or Municipal Legal Officer, Provincial or Municipal Engineer from themunicipalities of Oas, Guinobatan, Libon, Talisay, Baao, Libmanan, San Andres, Cawayan, Irosin, Castilla and the six (6) Provincial Governments in the Region.
In her opening message, LGCDD Division Chief Ma. Ruthel P. Gigantoca highlighted the significance of the training by assisting the LGUs streamline important processes and re-engineer systems to create a business-friendly environment in accordance with current laws and issuances.
In compliance with the directives of the Ease of Doing Business Law, said training enjoins LGUS to initiate reengineering of its operations and procedures and to assist them in complying with the provisions of JMC No. 2021-01 “Guidelines on Streamlining of LGU Systems and Procedures on Business and Non Business-related Services for Cities and Municipalities.”
The Bureau of Local Government Development (BLGD) – DILG Central Office provided technical assistance through LGOO IV Jaime S. Vergara, Jr. and PO I Yiazzumi S. Sia as resource speakers.
