The Department of the Interior and Local Government Region 5 strongly supported the Civil Service Commission’s “Forum on Civil Service Matters,” held at The Concourse Convention Center on July 5, 2023.
The forum aims to capacitate the members of the Local Legislators, Local Finance Committee, Administrators, and Human Resources Officers on their roles and responsibilities in human resources management and organizational development.
In his message, DILG 5 Regional Director Atty. Arnaldo E. Escober Jr., CESO V, highlighted the importance of the department’s mandate in enhancing the quality of service of the Local Government Units (LGUs) to the community. He also emphasized using SGLG performance monitoring tools to check the overall performance of LGUs in the Bicol region.
The forum will also cover matters relative to the Index of Occupational Services and the Guidelines and Standards of the Establishment of Organizational Structures and Staffing Patterns in LGUs.
The DILG Region 5 is committed to working with the CSC to ensure that LGUs in the Bicol region are equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to provide quality public service to their constituents.
