DILG R5 leads the simultaneous launch of the Kalinisan sa Bagong Pilipinas Program today, January 6, 2024 across multiple barangays in the Bicol Region.

The Kalinisan Program is a convergence initiative to consolidate all efforts of the government to maintain and provide a healthy and safe environment for all, by capacitating local government units (LGUs) and enabling community participation anchored on the bayanihan tradition.

Regional Director (RD) Atty. Arnaldo E. Escober Jr., CESO V graced the launch at Brgy. 57- Dap-Dap, Legazpi City, together with PBGEN Andre P Dizon, Regional Director of the Philippine National Police (PNP) 5, FCSUPT Ricardo C Perdigon of the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) 5, JCSUPT Joel S Superficial of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), Assistant Regional Director (ARD) for Special Concerns Adona P. San Diego and Atty. Ronnel Sopsop of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) 5, Legazpi City Administrator Carlos A. Ante, representing Hon. Mayor Carmen Geraldine B. Rosal and Punong Barangay Glenn Barcelon.
