We are thrilled to announce the commencement of DILG Region 5’s Apprenticeship Program for LGOOs: 57th Batch – Foundation Course and Supervised Field Work (FC-SFW) for twenty-one Local Government Operations Officers II (LGOOs II) thru the conduct of Coordination Meeting for R5 Training Team and the Coordination Meeting for the Apprentices on April 1 and 2, 2024, respectively.

This two-month long FC-SFW organized by DILG R5 is geared towards equipping our LGOOs II with the necessary knowledge and skills as DILG officers, and to excel in their roles and effectively serve our community. The apprentices will delve into various topics, exercises and simulations under the 5 core areas of local government operations, (a) Development Planning, (b) Local Legislation, (c) Fiscal Management, (d) Community Mobilization, and (e) Performance Monitoring and Evaluation. At the end of this FC-SFW, they will be subjected to the Apprenticeship Written Exam (AWE) to assess their level of knowledge and skills, and their readiness to move forward to the next phases of the Apprenticeship Program.

As champions for capacity building, we aim to develop a more empowered and well-equipped workforce that can efficiently address the needs of local government units in the Bicol Region, and increase our ability to deliver exceptional public service delivery. This training also signifies our steadfast dedication to continuous learning and professional advancement for our personnel.
