In line with the department’s implementation of the 2023 Retooled Community Support Program (RCSP) as well as the Support to Barangay Development Program (SBDP) 2021-2023 in the Bicol Region, all project evaluation officers from the regional office and the six provincial offices participated in a Two-Day Strategic Planning Workshop in Legazpi City on June 15, 2023.

DILG 5 Regional Director Atty. Arnaldo E. Escober., Jr. CESO V, highlighted the importance of proper evaluation and documentation of locally funded government projects to ensure that the money used in these projects are in good use and beneficial to the project’s recipients.

The workshop provided will also be an avenue for the briefing on the implementation status of both RCSP and SBDP. PEOs will be exposed in a series of discussions of the identified PEO deliverables and share strategies for accomplishing targets such as Impact Assessment, Social Preparation, and Storytelling.

In attendance were Assistant Regional Director Jhoaden G. Lucero, Enp, MM, CESO V, LGMED Chief and RPMO CO-Head Darlyn D. Ayende, Project Development Management Unit (PDMU) Team Leader Engr. IV Armando T. Tanael Jr., and personnel coming from the Regional Project Monitoring Office (RPMO), Regional Communication and Information Team (RCIT), and PDMU.
