DILG 5 LGMED OIC-Chief Darlyn D. Ayende, together with Irosin MLGOO Garner Marcos Frilles, DILG Sorsogon Provincial Office personnel, and Local Resource Institute (LRI) partner Bicol University research team led by Atty. Joseph C. Bartolata, facilitated the Service Delivery Baseline Data Collection (SDBD) for the Department Heads of Office of the Local Government Unit (LGU) Irosin on July 25 2022.
DILG Sorsogon Provincial Director Julius Rodel L. Cal Ortiz, CESE was also in attendance to provide guidance during the activity.
The SDBD is one of the phases in the Citizen Satisfaction Index System (CSIS) in which baseline data in six (6) Service Areas (Support to Education, Health Services, Governance and Response, Environmental Management, Social Welfare Services, Public Works and Infrastructure and Economic and Investment Program) are gathered to formulate an effective tool to capture the level of awareness and appreciation of the public to the PPAs of the LGUs.
As a citizen-centered performance management tool, the CSIS complements other assessment mechanisms by highlighting citizen satisfaction as a necessary aspect in LGU performance assessment. The DILG is devoted to aggressively scale up interventions toward a type of governance that prioritizes transparency, accountability, involvement, and performance.
