DILG 5, represented by Assistant Regional Director Jhoaden G. Lucero, CESO V, provided a message of support during the CHR’s Lakbay Karapatan Tungo sa Kamalayan (Lakaran): Regional Human Rights Caravan on July 17, 2024, at the Proxy by the Oriental Albay Hotel, Legazpi City.

The event aimed to enhance human rights education and promotion at the grassroots or community level, ensuring heightened awareness and consciousness of human rights among duty bearers and rights holders.

In her message, ARD Lucero encouraged all participants to actively participate in the widespread establishment of Human Rights Action Centers (HRACs) across all levels of governance.

The event was attended by members of local human rights action teams from various cities and municipalities of Albay, as well as Punong Barangays of Legazpi City.
