The implementation of Locally Funded Projects (LFPs) being monitored and evaluated by the Department was assessed by the DILG 5 Regional Management Team (RMT) on December 21, 2022, at Tanchuling Hotel, Legazpi City.

The assessment is deemed necessary to sift through the progress of the projects under the Local Government Support Fund (LGSF) programs such as the Support to Barangay Development Program (SBDP), Financial Assistance to Local Government Units (FALGU), Disaster Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Assistance Program (DRRAP), and the Growth Equity Fund (GEF), and take action on critical implementation areas, especially that FY 2022 is already nearing its close.

The RMT headed by Regional Director Atty. Arnaldo E. Escober Jr., CESO V and Assistant Regional Director Jhoaden G. Lucero, CESO V, also came up with strategies on how the Department can further assist and facilitate the LGUs reported to have projects whose implementation is behind schedule and/or hampered by external issues.

Said strategies shall take effect in 2023 for improved and more efficient service delivery and LFP implementation.
