DILG 5’s Local Government Capacity Development Division (LGCDD) conducts the three-day Roll-out Training on the Preparation of the Workforce Development Plan and Formulation of the Local Investment and Incentive Code, at the Ninong’s Hotel, Legazpi City, on January 18-20, 2023.

The training sees empowered local functionaries in implementing and operationalizing the guidelines on Strengthening Initiatives for Balanced Growth and Opportunities (SIBOL) through the crafting of an LGU Workforce Development Plan that is responsive to the needs of the community.

Assistant Regional Director Jhoaden G. Lucero, CESO V enjoins and motivates representatives of Local Government Units (LGUs) present to use their power in generating local revenues in improving and enriching their local resources. She also emphasized that the LGU Workforce Development Plan must be implemented to generate employment for LGUs as economic activities are still recovering from the effects of COVID-19 pandemic.

Participating LGUs are Polangui, Albay, Bulusan & Pilar, Sorsogon, Naga City, Ragay, Buhi, & Paracale, Camarines Sur, and San Andres, Catanduanes.
