The Provincial Government of Albay (PGA) headed by Governor Noel E. Rosal in coordination with the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Provincial Office of Albay headed by PD Arnel Renato L. Madrideo represented by Program Manager Immaculada Con G. Miras conducted the activity on October 10, 2022 at 1:00pm held at the Dignitaries Room, Albay Capitol Building, Legazpi City together with the Provincial Planning and Development Office (PPDO) with OIC-PPDC Engr. Millie Bueta and CSO Desk Officer Susan Fonacier along with the fourteen (14) Accredited Organizations of the province were part of the CSO Selection to the LSBs and the sectoral committees of the LDC.

Guided by the provisions of DILG MC No. 2022-083 Re: “Guidelines on the Accreditation of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and Selection of Representatives to the Local Special Bodies (LSBs) discussed by LGOO II Dusheen Marie B. Zamora and LGOO V Theza N. Ramos, they will become members of the Provincial Development Council to ensure participation in local planning and governance.

The CSO representative to the Local Health Board (LHB) should come from an organization that is involved in health services.

The Local School Board (LSB) representative – organizations shall be from parents-teachers associations and teachers’ organizations and organization of non-academic personnel of public schools in the locality, and other organizations involved in educational services.

As for the Local Peace and Order Council, the three (3) CSOs shall be chosen in adherence to the Implementing Rules and Regulations of RA 7160 and Executive Order 309.

The participatory mechanisms in the form of Local Special Bodies ensure the pathways to bringing collective interests and voicing the people’s concerns at the local and regional development planning, based on DILG MC 2022-083 Guidelines.
