President Bongbong Marcos, together with cabinet secretaries from DILG, DSWD, and Department of Agriculture, visited the provinces of Camarines Sur and Albay to personally extend support to beneficiaries severely devastated by Typhoon Kristine last November 6, 2024.

A total of ₱50 million has been allocated for immediate relief, with ₱10,000 to be given each to around 5,000 farmers, fisherfolk, and families in need.

In his speech, he reassured the public that efforts are underway to restore normalcy as soon as possible– rebuilding homes, infrastructure, and livelihoods damaged by the storm.

The President also directed government agencies to collaborate on strategies to prevent future devastation, especially in flood-prone areas like the Bicol River Basin, ensuring that infrastructure plans are robust and future-proof.
