The  Barangay Administration Developmental Governance and Empowerment (BADGE) Awards is one of the subcomponent of Good Governance of Poverty Reduction System (PRS), being initiated by the Social Action Center, Diocese of Legazpi.  One of the objectives of this Award is to recognize the initiatives at the grassroots level and to serve as fine examples and inspirations on good governance.

      Last August 13, 2010, RD Blandino Maceda and LGOO IV Nedita Balucio, attended the brief orientation on  the concept of the Awards and the schedule of activities of the actual validation and assessment of the entries.

Qualified barangays must have  projects or programs that is in existence for at least (6) months initiated either by PO,/NGO or Sanggunaing Barangay, has not been recognized by any awarding body higher than provincial level and should be endorsed by the respective Municipal Screening Committee.
