The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Region 5 successfully conducted a five-day Seminar-Workshop on the Preparation of Detailed Engineering Design using AutoCAD Civil 3D at Hotel Iñigo, Legazpi City, Albay, last March 28, 2025.
The five-day seminar-workshop was facilitated by Engr. Ryan Loret Espeleta and Engr. Rad G. Bulawan from the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Regional Office V. They shared their expertise in road design using AutoCAD Civil 3D and project cost estimation, providing participants with practical knowledge essential for infrastructure planning and execution. As an accredited program by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) – Council for Civil Engineers, the said training provided participants with five (5) Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points, further supporting their professional growth and compliance with licensing requirements.
The seminar-workshop concluded with a closing message from DILG 5 Assistant Regional Director Jhoaden G. Lucero, CESO IV, who underscored the significance of continuous learning in both professional and personal development. She emphasized that acquiring new knowledge and honing technical skills are essential for progress, enabling engineers not only to fulfill their responsibilities effectively but also to strive for excellence and innovation in their respective fields. She remarked, “When we continue learning, we continue to live—not just by breathing, but by dreaming beyond what we currently have. Learning fuels our aspirations and drives us toward building a better future for our communities.”
