Spearheaded and chaired by the DILG Region 5 as the Cluster Chairperson, the Inter-Agency Committee on Anti-Illegal Drugs (ICAD) Advocacy Cluster held its 4th Quarter Meeting on November 27, 2024 at Training Hall, DILG Regional Office 5, Legazpi City.

DILG 5 Regional Director Atty. Arnaldo E. Escober Jr, CESO III presided the meeting which focused on the presentation of each agency’s CY 2024 anti-illegal drug accomplishments and activities. This addressed their current issues and concerns, and outlined the plans for next year. All discussions were geared towards strengthening government’s advocacy campaigns against illegal drugs, with emphasis on sharing successful initiatives, identifying challenges, and proposing strategies to enhance holistic efforts in addressing drug-related issues within communities.

The meeting was attended by the representatives from the following member agencies: NAPOLCOM, PNP PRO 5, PDEA, 9ID-PA, DOH-BICOL CHD, DOLE, and DSWD FOV.

RD Escober applauded the agencies’ relentless efforts on implementing anti-illegal drug programs and advocacies and further challenged the members of the ICAD advocacy cluster to become exemplary institutions in enforcing the government’s anti-illegal drug programs.
