The Bicol RDRRMC Response Cluster convened for a Pre-Disaster Risk Assessment on September 10 & 11, 2024, due to the looming threat of two Low Pressure Areas (LPAs) and the Southwest Monsoon, one of which intensified into Tropical Storm Bibenca, outside of PAR.

The cluster members evaluated the risks and assessed the readiness of our Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Councils (LDRRMCs) to face the potential impacts of these weather disturbances.

On the second day, the DILG provided crucial updates for widest dissemination, emphasizing the importance of (a) implementing recommended mitigation and preparedness measures, (b) regularly monitoring critical preparedness actions of LGUs, and (c) coordinating efforts between LDRRMCs.

The Bicol RDRRMC remains vigilant and committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of our communities.
