Province of Sorsogon Governor Edwin “Boboy” B. Hamor takes the oath of office as the new Regional Peace and Order Council Chairperson during the Newly-Elected Officials Orientation Course for Local Legislators of Sorsogon at the Residencia Del Hamor in Casiguran, Sorsogon on March 22, 2023.

The oath was administered by Casiguran Mayor Maria Minez R. Hamor and witnessed by DILG R5 Assistant Regional Director Jhoaden G. Lucero, DILG Sorsogon Provincial Director Arnel Renato L. Madrideo, and DILG Sorsogon Cluster Head Rico Gaurino.

The Regional Peace and Order Council (RPOC) is a crucial component of the government’s efforts to combat criminality, illegal drugs, insurgency, and violent extremism at the grassroots level. It creates an enabling environment among its members to harmonize and effectively implement peace and order and public safety activities.

Once again, DILG 5 congratulates Gov. Hamor on his appointment as Regional Peace and Order Council (RPOC) Chairperson for Bicol Region.
