The reconstructed Multi-Purpose Building in San Miguel, Catanduanes funded under FY 2021 Local Government Support Fund-Financial Assistance to Local Government Units (LGSF-FALGU) was formally inaugurated today, October 13, 2022.

San Miguel is the only LGU in the province of Catanduanes to avail of the program which provided the municipality a total of P20 million worth of funding for the abovementioned project. The reconstruction commenced in December 2021 and reached completion in July 2022.

Per DBM’s Local Budget Circular, funds under LGSF-FALGU shall be used to support priority programs and projects such as constructions, rehabilitations, purchases, and assistance to various programs related to health, sports, education, and indigence.

The inauguration ceremony was witnessed by DILG OPDS Assistant Director and LEO70 PMO Head Rene V. Valera; Catanduanes Provincial Governor and Vice Governor, Hon. Joseph C. Cua and Hon. Peter C. Cua, respectively; San Miguel Municipal Mayor and Vice Mayor, Hon. Francisco T. Camano Jr. and Hon. Noel S. Morales, respectively; DILG 5 Assistant Regional Director Jhoaden G. Lucero, CESO V; DILG Catanduanes Provincial Director Uldarico S. Razal Jr., CESO V; DILG 5 PDMU Chief Leandro S. Gigantoca; Sangguniang Bayan Members and Punong Barangays; heads and representatives from PNP, BFP, and DepEd; and guests from the municipality of San Miguel.
