The Department of Health Bicol Center for Health and Development (DOH Bicol CHD), DILG R5, and partner agencies unite for the nationwide simultaneous launching of the booster vaccine campaign dubbed as “PinasLakas” at Ayala Malls Legazpi City on August 19, 2022.

Bannering the theme: “Sabay Tayong Babangon, Magpa-Booster Ngayon,” the PinasLakas Campaign is an initiative of the national government which aims for a higher booster inoculation rate among Filipinos to strengthen the country’s immunity against COVID-19.

In his message, DILG 5 Regional Director Atty. Anthony C. Nuyda, CESO III expressed the agency’s continued support and efforts on the COVID-19 vaccination program. Further, he stressed the need for a stronger collaboration among the Local Government Units (LGUs), concerned agencies, and the general public to reach the common goal of combating the threats of COVID-19 and other diseases.

RD Nuyda also received his second booster shot alongside volunteers from different age and priority groups during the ceremonial inoculation.

In attendance were DOH Health Facilities and Services Regulatory Bureau (HFSRB) Director Felicitas C. Ducusin, Legazpi City Mayor Geraldine Rosal, DOT V Regional Director Herbie Aguas, LTO V Regional Director P/Maj. Gen. Antonio N. Gardiola Jr., DTI Regional Director Rodrigo M. Aguilar, Ayala Malls Legazpi Deputy General Manager Mr. Irving Noleal, Albay Provincial Health Officer Dr. Nathaniel Rempillo, and Legazpi City Health Officer Dr. Fulbert Gillego who also signified their unwavering support to the government’s efforts on the fight against COVID-19.
