DILG 5, in partnership with PSA 5, conducted the Regional Orientation on PSA-DILG JMC 2022-001 Implementation Guidelines of the Community-Based Monitoring System on July 8, 2022 via Zoom.
The orientation was participated in by a total of 255 participants from 120 LGUs of Bicol Region comprising of CBMS Provincial Focal Persons from DILG, PSA and LGUs, Local Planning and Development Coordinators, and other LGU key implementers of CBMS.
In his message, Regional Director Atty. Anthony C. Nuyda, CESO III highlighted the importance of CBMS in developing and implementing programs that are responsive to the needs of the people. CBMS Focal Persons from DILG 5 and PSA 5 discussed in detail the salient contents of the JMC.
An open forum ensued to accommodate the questions of the participants. RD Cynthia L. Perdiz, CESO V of PSA 5 actively responded to the questions and provided her guidance to LGUs through her Closing Remarks.
The activity served as a platform for dialogue and consultation among PSA, DILG, and the LGUs to ensure the successful rollout of CBMS in the Bicol Region. This online orientation is an initiative of DILG 5 in the fulfillment of its role to assist in the dissemination of information on CBMS and in assisting PSA in building the capacity of LGUs.
CBMS is an organized technology-based system of collecting, processing, and validating necessary disaggregated data that may be used for local planning, program implementation, and impact monitoring while empowering communities to participate in the process.
