The DILG Region V conducts the Bantay-Korapsyon Webinar, entitled Reinforcing Public Accountability for Better Public Service to re-echo the accountabilities of all elective and appointive officers and employees of the Local Government Units (LGUs) on Wednesday, 28 July 2021 at the DILG Regional Office V Training Hall and via online teleconference.
DILG Undersecretary for Operations and Supervising Authority of the Bantay-Korapsyon Epimaco V. Densing III gave his inspirational message and guidance to all the participants.
Mr. George Mapile, Jr., Project Development Officer of the BK-PMO discussed the Bantay-Korapyon Program of the DILG. Resource speakers Former DOJ Undersecretary Atty. Markk L. Perete and Associate Provincial Prosecutor for Albay Atty. Jenifer B. Balleras-Bagay discussed the basic responsibility of public officers under the Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees, as well as the Philippine laws against graft and corruption.
The activity was participated in by LCEs, Vice-Mayors, Punong Barangays, members of the Sanggunian, and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in the Bicol Region.
