“As we move towards healing and recovery, let us not forget that people are always counting on us. Let us be the light to guide and the servant to lead towards good governance in the hope to end this pandemic,” DILG V RD Atty. Anthony C. Nuyda in his opening message during the conduct of the 2021 New Year’s Call Planning cum Wellness Session and Awarding of 2020 Outstanding DILG provincial office and personnel on January 18-19, 2021 at the DILG V Regional Office training hall and via online teleconference.

All Provincial Offices and Operating Divisions showcased their respective 2020 accomplishments through an audio-visual presentation.

The said activity presented the 2021 targets and priorities and conducted a workshop on strategies of implementation.

On the second day of the activity, Francis Kong, a renowned motivational speaker, discussed the topic Leading and Living Productively in Turbulent Times. He also emphasized that “Crisis accelerates change, this pandemic is an opportunity for us to level up.”

The wellness session aims to refresh the DILG Region 5 personnel of their role in the fight against the pandemic to strengthen and reaffirm their commitment to public service.
