The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Regional Office V spearheaded a two-day seminar orientation course on priming local leaders for effective local governance for the Newly-Elected officials held at La Piazza Hotel and Convention Center, Legazpi City last August 22-23, 2019.
One of the guest sharers was former Secretary of DILG, Mel Senen Sarmiento. He discussed the evolving role of local leaders as he shared his knowledge on managing a local government and highlighted its topic on responsible citizenship.
The said event was participated by the re-elected city and municipal Mayors around the Bicol Region and attended by researchers from State Universities and Colleges (SUCs). Representatives from other national government agencies were also present in this activity to discuss their various programs.
