Engage DILG and change lives. This was the resounding challenge of RD Maceda to the fieldmen and regional office personnel during the retooling exercise conducted on July 29-30, 2013 at La Piazza Convention Center.

The retooling activity was undertaken in order to discuss the priority programs of the Department based on the outcome framework of the DILG under the leadership of Sec. Mar Roxas. During the open forum, issues raised by the fieldmen concerning their work in the LGUs were addressed and clarified by the regional management.

 Aside from the discussions and update of accomplishments, the activity was highlighted by the declaration of commitment to the attainment of the program goals and objectives which was done by province led by the respective provincial director.

ARD Biet Pastor facilitated the expectation setting where she elicited from the DILG personnel the things they want to learn, re-learn and unlearn with respect to the programs of the Department.

This activity was aimed to strengthen internal governance in order for the DILG to be able to likewise strengthen more the LGUs. RD Maceda challenged all personnel to be serious in their work, sharpen the saw and used the tools available to effectively carry out the job and push the LGUs to greater heights, thereby creating positive change in the lives of the people.
