DILG R5 conducted an orientation for retirees, employees whose age range from 58-64 years old, on December 17-19, 2013 at the DILG Conference Hall, Regional Office, Legazpi City. The activity was aimed to provide needed information to employees on retirement processes , documentary requirements,  benefits and programs by the DILG Personnel, GSIS, Pag-Ibig and PhilHealth.

Ranulfo M. Solomon Jr. of the Personnel Section explained to the participants the retirement  process and the needed documentary requirements. He also discussed the computation of Terminal Leave Benefit.  Mr. Erwin Roallos and Defin Badiong Jr.  from GSIS provided the participants with the tentative computation of retirement benefits and information on the programs of their office for retirees. Ms. Desiree Fatima N. Alvarez  of PhilHealth also gave a very informative and enlightening presentation on the medical and health benefits for retirees specifically on the Lifetime Membership Program. Delan John Llarena of Pag-Ibig discussed the Pag-Ibig 1 and 2 and other programs of their office.  CAO Henedina T. Gonzales gave some tips on staying young, healthy and productive. She also presented possible livelihood activity for retiring employees. – (AO V Pia. M. Salameño)
