The Comprehensive Local Integration Program (CLIP) Committee of Camarines Sur conducted the 2-Day Live-In Coaching Seminar on the Proposed Livelihood Projects for the CLIP Beneficiaries on November 27-28, 2014 at the CBD Plaza Hotel, Naga City.
The CLIP is a reintegration program of the national government for the former rebels. It aims to achieve permanent and peaceful closure of all armed conflicts with non-state armed groups through mainstreaming of former rebels (FRs) to the community as productive citizens. The capacities of LGUs and the concerned national government agencies (NGAs) in the implementation of the program will also be enhanced to ensure its sustainability.
The 2-day coaching-seminar was participated in by thirteen (13) FRs. Invited resource persons from the Provincial Agriculture Office, DTI and TESDA shared their expertise and provided inputs on how the beneficiaries could maximize the financial assistance provided to them to carry out and sustain their identified livelihood projects.
During the closing program of the activity, twelve (12) out of thirteen (13) CLIP beneficiaries were awarded with checks for their immediate and livelihood assistance in the amount of sixty five thousand pesos (Php 65,000.00). Said checks were awarded by LTC. Delfin M. Arguelles, Commanding Officer of 42IB, 9ID,Phil. Army; LTC. Sisenando A. Magabalot of 9ID, Phil. Army; LGOO VI Sonia L. Jaucian, representative from DILG-Camarines Sur; and Mr. Dennis A. Mijares, representative from the Provincial Government of Camarines Sur.
