DILG 5 congratulates the 55 Barangays that passed the Seal of Good Local Governance for Barangay (SGLGB) Regional Performance Assessment Team (RPAT) validation and favorably endorsed to the National Quality Committee through the National Working Team.

The SGLGB is a prestigious recognition system that honors barangays who have demonstrated outstanding performance in various governance areas. It is an award and a testament to their commitment to delivering efficient, equitable, and quality public services.

Applying the three-plus-one principle, these barangays have successfully passed all three (3) core governance areas in Financial Administration and Sustainability, Disaster Preparedness, and Safety, Peace, and Order, and one (1) of the essential governance areas: Social Protection and Sensitivity, Business-Friendliness and Competitiveness, and Environmental Management.

The Department also commends the fourteen (14) barangays who have excelled in the regional validation’s core and essential governance areas. This achievement results from the collective efforts of the barangay officials, various stakeholders, and the community.
