Nominees of the LLA were evaluated by the Regional Award Committee following a series of comprehensive assessments, carried out by the Provincial Award Committees (PACs) of DILG 5. These assessments focus on recognizing the exemplary performance of sanggunians at both the city and municipal levels.

DILG Assistant Regional Director (ARD) Jhoaden G. Lucero presided the evaluation, together with other esteemed members and representatives of the RAC.

In partnership with the Philippine Councilors’ League (PCL) 5 and Vice Mayors League of the Philippines (VMLP) 5, the primary objective of the LLA is to accord recognition to the Sangguniang Panlungsod and Sangguniang Bayan that excel in legislative laws that contribute to the attainment of desirable socio-economic and environmental management outcomes.
