DILG R5 Holds Local Government Month Regional Recognition Ceremony.
In a celebration of excellence and community dedication, the DILG R5 honored its outstanding Anti-Drug Abuse Councils, Sanggunians, and Lupong Tagapamayapa during the 2023 Local Government Month Regional Recognition Ceremony at the Pepperland Hotel Convention Center Legazpi City on October 27, 2023.
This prestigious event aimed to acknowledge and commend the tireless efforts of individuals, LGUs and organizations committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of the community. Local Anti-Drug Abuse Councils, Sanggunians, and Lupong Tagapamayapa play a significant role in maintaining law and order, fostering peace, and promoting a drug-free society in the Region.
DILG 5 Regional Director (RD) Atty. Arnaldo E. Escober Jr. led the conferment of the awards. During his message, he said that the ceremony is a testament to the unwavering commitment of these local heroes who work diligently to uplift the lives of their fellow citizens. Their dedication not only ensures the region’s prosperity but also serves as an example for others to follow.
The occasion was also graced by some members of the Regional Management Team, including LGCDD Chief Ma. Ruthel P. Gigantoca, LGMED Chief Darlyn D. Ayende, Chief Administrative Officer Rico E. Gaurino, and the Provincial Directors of the six provinces. In a display of unity, the C/MLGOOs of the winning LGUs were also in attendance.
