DILG R5 led by Regional Director Atty. Anthony C. Nuyda, CESO III, leads the conduct of the Regional Security Briefing for the upcoming implementation of the Retooled Community Support Program (RCSP) 2022 last July 12, 2022 at the DILG 5 Training Hall and via Zoom Teleconferencing.


Now on its fourth year of implementation, DILG V gears up once again with the security sector as they strengthen their plans for a successful RCSP 2022 in the 260 target barangays. RD Nuyda in his opening message expressed his gratitude towards the security sector for their unwavering support to the Department especially in the past RCSPs.


In attendance during the meeting are the members of the 9ID Philippine Army headed by BGen Jaime A Abawag, ADC representing MGen Alex DC Luna, Commander, Philippine National Police PRO 5 represented by PCol Jonathan Panganiban in behalf of PNP Regional Director PBGen Mario A Reyes, NICA Regional Director Vert T. Chavez, DILG Assistant Regional Director Jhoaden G. Lucero, CESO V, Provincial Directors, Cluster Heads, and RCSP Focal Persons. Concerned Philippine Army Brigades and Battalions and DILG Camarines Norte and Catanduanes also joined via Zoom.


LGOO VI Darlyn D. Ayende, DILG 5 RCSP Regional Focal Person and RPMO Co-Head, presented the updates and a briefer for RCSP 2022 followed by the Threat Situation updates provided by the 9th Infantry Division of the Philippine Army (9ID PA) commencing the discussion of opportunities and challenges for the upcoming implementation in each province.

In Bicol region, the RCSP is localized as Baranggayan sa Bikol with a 5 to 7-day implementation scheme composed of immersion activities in identified priority barangays. During its conduct, DILG officers are deployed as facilitators in various participative community activities which aim to optimize government engagement with the barangays.


The provinces of Bicol Region will simultaneously resume the RCSP implementation this August 2022.
