The province of Camarines Norte has completed a total of 24 out of 25 (96%) subprojects granted to 8 beneficiary barangays in the province under FY 2021 Support to Barangay Development Program (SBDP). These are among the first subprojects to be completed in the Bicol region since the FY 2021 SBDP commenced implementation.

These projects include construction of Farm-to-Market roads, Local Access Roads, Level II Water Systems, and Barangay Health Centers; and Electrification Projects. Aimed at providing appropriate and immediate interventions to the issues in their barangay, these projects are identified by the residents themselves through the conduct of the Retooled Community Support Program (RCSP) localized as Baranggayan sa Bikol. These projects are then contained in the barangay’s enhanced Barangay Development Plan (eBDP) for integration in higher Local Government Units (LGUs) and National Government Agencies’ (NGAs’) programs and projects, among which is DILG’s FY 2021 SBDP.

As of posting, the remaining subproject in the province – the construction of the Health Center in Brgy. Villa Belen – is already near its completion. The total number of completed FY 2021 SBDP projects in the Region now reaches 89, with a completion rate of 54%.
Twenty (20) barangays from the Municipalities of Capalonga and Labo, Camarines Norte will also be beneficiaries of FY 2022 SBDP.
