On 04 May 2018, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Catanduanes Provincial Operations Office conducted the One (1) Day SGLG Provincial Orientation cum LFP Review at Amenia Beach Resort, Palawig, San Andres, Catanduanes.

This activity has been participated by the eleven (11) Municipal Local Government Operations Officers (MLGOOs) namely: MLGOO Alma May T. Lim (Bagamanoc), MLGOO Paul T. Molina (Baras), MLGOO Jose G. Taraya (Bato), MLGOO Allan S. Taniajura (Caramoran), MLGOO Arline B. Borlaza (Gigmoto), MLGOO Neil I. Evangelista (Pandan), MLGOO Pio M. Benavidez (Panganiban), MLGOO Jose Rogel V. Maglaqui (San Andres), OIC MLGOO Henry C. Tardecilla (San Miguel), MLGOO Jimmy D. Lopez (Viga), and MLGOO Salvador C. Vargas Jr. (Virac) together with the OIC Program Manager Mary Gracelou A. Velarde, OIC Cluster Head Marilou A. Talaran and OIC Provincial Director Uldarico S. Razal Jr.

OIC Program Manager Mary Gracelou A. Velarde discussed the new and updated guidelines of the Seal of Good Local Governance based on DILG Memorandum Circular 2018-49 dtd 04 April 2018. Together with the MLGOOs, DILG Catanduanes has strategized on how will the LGUs can pass the criteria set by the Central Office to be able for them to be an SGLG Awardee particularly the LGU Virac which has been an awardee last year. She also discussed the salient features of the revised circular.

Afterwhich, she updated the status of Locally Funded Projects as collated by Provincial Focal Person LGOOII Reagan T. Lumbao and validated with the MLGOOs if said report is updated.
