The Provincial Peace and Order Council (PPOC) and the eleven (11) Municipal Peace and Order Councils (MPOCs) convened on September 30, 2019 at the Provincial Convention Center for the formulation of a draft plan which charts the three-year direction of the councils.

The Peace and Order and Public Safety (POPS) plan for 2020-2022 aims to improve life in the community ensuring social protection and safety, anchored on the vision and mission of the province and the municipalities.

Acting Governor Shirley A. Abundo- PPOC Chairman warmly extends her gratitude for the all-out support of the members, “Hangad ko na ating matugunan at maiaddress ang pangangailangan ng Peace and Order and Public Safety ng ating probinsiya, kung hindi man lahat ay ang karamihan na mga isyus at concerns sa pamamagitan ng ating epektibo at komprehensibong POPS Plan…”, she iterated.

Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Provincial Director Uldarico S. Razal, Jr., represented by Cluster Head William T. Aldea called on the members to come up with a workable and doable plan appropriate to the province and their respective municipalities. While DILG Provincial Focal Person Noel A. Manila presented the required and sequential content of POPS Plan to further guide the participants.

The draft POPS Plan which was the output of the workshop will be presented to the P/MPOC for deliberations and approval. The approved plan will be incorporated in the Provincial/Municipal Investment Plan for its implementation.
