Pursuant to DILG MEMO CIRCULAR NO. 2025-050 dated May 20, 2025 “Election of the Philippine Councilors League (PCL) Provincial Federation, City Chapter and Regional Council Officers for the Term 2025-2028” the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Catanduanes Provincial Office conducted a coordination meeting with the Interim PCL Officers on July 16, 2025, at the Sangguniang Panlalawigan Conference Room, Provincial Capitol Compound, Virac Catanduanes.
The meeting aimed to discuss initial plans, requirements, and protocols in line with the conduct of the PCL Provincial Election. DILG Provincial Director Uldarico S. Razal Jr., CESO V, led the discussion and reaffirmed the Department’s role in ensuring that the election process adheres to the prescribed guidelines and remains transparent, orderly, and inclusive.
Also present were DILG Cluster Head LGOO VII William T. Aldea, LGOO II Gizelle A. Tabilin, LGOO II Camille Jade G. Daep, and Mary Lorraine Soriao. Representing the Interim PCL leadership were Acting PCL Provincial President Hon. Joseph Mendoza, along with Hon. Fidelito Torrenueva (SBM LGU San Miguel),Hon. Ely T. Tasarra (SBM LGU Bato), Hon. Fidelito T. Soledad (SBM LGU Baras) and Hon. Hazel C. Isidoro (SBM LGU Virac).
During the meeting, both parties shared updates and aligned on the necessary steps to ensure a smooth and credible election process. The DILG team also emphasized its commitment to provide technical guidance and logistical support throughout the election period.
This collaborative effort underscores the continued partnership between the DILG and the local legislative body in strengthening local governance the province of Catanduanes.
