In line with the Department’s mission to ensure seamless leadership transitions and maintain efficient local governance support, another key turnover was held following the recent reassignment of field officers in DILG Catanduanes.
Cluster Head William T. Aldea installed LGOO VI Jimmy D. Lopez as the new Municipal Local Government Operations Officer (MLGOO) of DILG Virac, succeeding his previous post in Bato. Alongside him, LGOO II Jose Adrian Vargas was also officially designated as staff of DILG Virac, reinforcing the Department’s commitment to field support excellence.
Despite being en route for official travel, Mayor Sinforoso Sarmiento warmly welcomed the transition via a courtesy video call, expressing full support and optimism for the new leadership at the municipal field office. Likewise, CH Aldea conducted a courtesy visit to the Officer-in-Charge of LGU Virac, Municipal Administrator John Socito to introduce the new officers of DILG Virac.
This series of turnovers underlines DILG Catanduanes’ proactive approach in aligning leadership capabilities with the evolving needs of its local government partners—ushering in a strengthened partnership and renewed commitment to good local governance in the capital municipality of the province.
